  Introducing......

Ms. Parsley comes to MHS after four years of teaching in Chicago, Illinois.  A Frederick native, she graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson and the Advanced Music Studies Program.  She was also a student conductor of the Frederick Children's Chorus.  Ms. Parsley then went to DePaul University, where she received a Bachelor's of Music Education.

While at DePaul she co-founded the DePaul Student Productions, and was the student director of both the DePaul World Harmony Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Ensemble.  Following her student teaching assignment at New Trier High School, she taught pre-school through 8th grade General music and Choir at St. Joan of Arc, Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Performing Arts, and Melzer Elementary School, where she was nominated for Who's Who Among American Teachers

In her spare time, Ms. Parsley sang with da Corneto Opera Company, the Chicago Chamber Singers, performed in numerous musicals, and taught voice and piano lessons.  This past summer she began her Masters Degree in Choral Music Education from Florida State University.  She is very excited to return to the Frederick area and looks forward to a wonderful year at Middletown High School!
